PCI Data Security

In late 2004, Visa and MasterCard announced a new security initiative known as the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard in an effort to standardize industry security requirements for storing, processing and transmitting cardholder data.

As a Merchant Focus customer you should be aware of the requirements for PCI Compliance.

Please note that PCI Data Security Standard compliance is a requirement of the card associations and there are numerous companies that provide compliance services.
